TAEO promotes and offers successful quality art education support to Texas art educators through mentoring and professional development presentations. I will post upcoming event information for you as it becomes available. Please send me ideas for what you would like to see offered in our Region. I am excited to represent all of you in Region 10, and look forward to serving you during my term as Regional Representative. Please contact me if you would like to attend, present, or have any other input regarding our mini-conference and professional development opportunities within Region 10. Our mini-conference offers an opportunity for quality professional development geared specifically to Fine Arts and is a great way to earn off-contract hours. Region 10 offers an annual Regional Mini-Conference ( typically in June). I participate in many of these opportunities myself and I'm a firm believer in how much they positively benefit our students! I am committed to supporting our members in Region 10 regarding participation in TAEA programs, such as Youth Art Month (YAM), VASE/TEAM events, and Fall Conference. I am always looking to reach out to art teachers in our region who are not currently members of TAEA. TAEA is always looking for more ways to reach out to Art teachers who may not be association members, so that they and their students can take advantage of the many programs offered to promote growth in art education practices, and support for art teachers. Advocating for Art within our schools (public, private and charter) and spreading awareness of the important role that the skills and lessons learned through Art play in preparing students for life beyond the classroom.Assist in presenting Art Educators and their Administrators with quality opportunities to grow, develop and hone their skills.Assist in presenting students of our Region and state with outstanding opportunities to grow as artists and advocates of The Arts.My goals as the Region 10 Representative include: I've also assisted in Site Directorship, as well as volunteer coordination of several Regional VASE competitions, and I love attending TAEA's annual conference each fall. In addition to teaching, I have been an active member of TAEA as both a teaching participant & competition Judge for Jr. I currently teach Art I, II, and III in Frisco ISD at Vandeventer Middle School. I am Leanne Rainey thank you for allowing me to serve as your Regional Representative. Leanne Rainey Login for contact information. TAEA Forward - The 2022-2027 Strategic Plan.
